Things that were the same:
oldies music
mountains to look at
people's houses and yards going by
farms and farm animals
trail mix/munchies
taking a turn at driving
stopping for gas and goodies
getting away from home and worries
Things that were NOT the same:
no licorice
no kids in the back seat
no one to trade seats with and let them be co-pilot
no one holding their breath, hoping they made it to the next Rest Stop in time
no one kicking the back of my seat
no children's laughter
no little voices singing Primary songs
no "Are we almost there?"s
having long periods of time with my thoughts to myself
having our Little People be at the end of the drive, instead of with us during the drive
Things I enjoyed the past 9 days:
giggles
ticklish feet
brushing long hair and putting in pony tails
lap warmers
reading stories to eager listeners
sitting at the table with their family during meals
wii games being played
walks to the school playground
blowing bubbles in the back yard
watching them swing, scooter, and bike around
pulling weeds together
piling tumbleweeds as a team
eating brownies, ham, and lots of other yummy food
listening to family reading scriptures together
having prayers together
talking
hugging
finding pennies on the ground
reminiscing
singing in the car together
going to church with them
listening to 'kid jokes' (ones they made up)
watching both parents show love to their children
being awakened in the mornings by sweet whispers at the door
watching children serve and help each other
Things I didn't like:
leaving them there

Sounds like you had so much fun! You so deserve it!!!
I'm not going to lie... work just wasn't the same without you today.
You're so good at making things happy where you are--I heard a talk by Mary Ellen Edmunds once where she called people like you "happify-ers."
I like your lists!
