Sounds of Spring

Outside my window
the sounds that I hear
are clearly declaring
that Springtime is here!

The children are shouting
and riding their wheels,
while Mothers are coaxing
them in for their meals.

Young men are zooming
their bikes (motorcycles) on the roads,
no doubt saving gas
as they lighten their loads.

The seagulls are soaring
while searching for scraps.
I should've put food out
but instead took a nap.

Ahhhhh, the sounds out my window
I so love to hear.
I always feel happy
when Springtime is here! :)
