So far, we've been bequeathed a dog, a bird, and a mini hamster by our kids over the years. Just last weekend we got the tiny hamster and we are really enjoying her. I've discovered that it's easier to pick her up during the daytime when she's sleeping, than it is when she is awake and lively. She's so cute! We haven't named her yet. My student this afternoon says she should be named Isabella. Dad says 'Gussie' because she's the feminine counterpart to Gus Gus in Cinderella. Any ideas from you?

Gussie! That's funny! Or, you could still call her Gus Gus, but her full name could be Augustina or Octavia. (Cinderella: "I have a name! Octavius! We'll call him Gus for short." And then Jaq is the one that calls him Gus Gus) :D
